ALL-Star Wrap Up |

EVSA,
We'd like to congratulate all the all-stars for coming down and
mixing it up. This was the first annual Nelson Troche all star
game. Nelson and his family were extremely touched and he
even showed up to throw out the 1st pitch of the 3rd inning.
After 9 grueling innings the Nationals walked away with the W
beating the Americans 4-2
And big ups to the new Home Run Derby champion - Keith
Lowerre of Prof Tom's!! Also winning 4 - 2
Also there seems to be an issue with the schedule. The one we
are using is Final Version 2.0. Everyone on this list should
have a copy. If you need another one. Let me know and I will
email it to you. Apparently there's something amiss with the
esports desk and or the version on facebook. Do Not use either
of those to check upcoming games. Refer only to your own
copy of Final Version 2.0.

1st Annual Nelson Troche All-Star Game |

EVSA,
1. 11:00 Home Run Derby - Any EVSA player can enter. No limit on players per team. If you can hit it over, bring it. Doesn't have to be the same players that will be repping your team in the all-star game. They are mutually exclusive. Also, any pitchers who want to come down and toss for the batters are more than welcome. Each batter gets to choose who'll pitch to them from the selection in attendance. And if you have any spare balls, bring them. Each batter will get ten swings per round. Try not to hit any out during BP!!
2: 1:00 1st Annual Nelson Troche All-Star game - each team should send 2 males and 1 female player - all players will be in the line up, batting straight through. Managers will make sure everyone gets equal time in the field.
3. The first place managers from both divisions will manage the game.
4. After the festivities, any managers or players repping a team will have a pow wow on any rules, regs, grievances and suggestions that need to be addressed thus far in the 2011 season.
5. Do we want to have a pot luck pic nic as well?
6. Any suggestions?
7. Talked to Nelson's son, said he'll bring Nelson to the game to throw out the first pitch.

Nelson Tribute |
|
We're planning on visiting Nelson Thursday 6/9, at 6pm, to
present him with a trophy and show our great gratitude for his
inimitable contributions to the EVSA (and to life on the LES, in
general!). We'll be walking over from E. 3rd St. and Ave. B if
anyone wants to stroll with us, or else you can meet us at his
place: 930 East 4th St. Thanks, I hope some of you can make
