Fontanetti's swept the 1st place Redding Colt 45s in a 3 game series by scores of 5-2, 6-4, and 5-3. Chris Tuma and Mike Menolo got wins in starting roles, Tuma going 6 inn allowing 1 run, Menolo besting that fine effort by going 7 inn allowing no runs. Bryce Miller continued his fine pitching allowing 3 earned runs in 6 and 2/3, Ryan Gunther got the win in relief allowing no runs and no hits in 2 and 1/3 inn. Richie Johnson ( 4 hits ), Blake Martz ( 4 hits, triple and double ),  Kevin Grove ( 4 hits-double and HR ), Scott Masik ( 4 hits--3 SBs ),  and Rich Bermudez ( 3 RBIs ), led the hitting attack. Garrett Tuck, who contributed a hit in each game, Jake Davis behind the plate, Spencer Frazier at 3rd and 2B, and Kevin Corey led a stellar defense that allowed just 2 errors in 3 games and turned 3 double plays. Fontanetti's improved to 17-5 in FWL play ( 2nd place overall ), and 26-7 overall.
