The Riverview Weed Man A's showed little rust in their first game since July 19th, a span of exactly three weeks. The A's scored 9 runs on 14 hits against the Saint John Mets to win Game one of their Best of Five Semi-Final Sunday at Harold Page Field.

Jody Cole led the A's attack going 4-4 with 3 singles, a home run and two runs batted in. Matt Hebert went 3-3 at the dish and Kevin Basque was 3-4 with an RBI and a stolen base.

Ryan Mitchell was 2-3 with a single, double and a stolen base for the Mets.

Dan Taylor took the loss on the mound for the Mets allowing six hits and seven runs in 2+ innings of work.

Jacques Boucher went the distance for the A's scattering six hits while striking out five and walking two.

Game 2 in the series is slated for Tuesday night at Forest Hills Field with Game 3 back in Riverview on Thursday.
