Durham Claims 1st Ever National Championship

Great pitching carried Durham to their first ever CIBA National Championship in Moncton with a 6-1 victory over Humber.  Shawn Lamb pitched a complete game 5-hitter allowing a single run in the seventh inning when the result was already in hand.  Lamb walked only one batter while striking out six batters. 

Durham shortstop Tyler Mitchell was named Player of the Game going 2 for 4 at the plate adding 3 RBI's while scoring 2 runs.  He also added some stellar defense behind his pitcher.

Humber's Ryan Rausch was named Player of the Game for Humber who had 2 hits and an RBI for the Hawks in their first ever full season in the CIBA league.
