The Sussex McGinnys Mooselights won the Earl McGinnis Trophy in Game 7 of the finals. Down 3-1 in the series to the Midland Aces they managed to win 3 straight to claim the title. In game 5 they won 3-2 in overtime and followed up in game 6 win a 4-2 regulation win. In game 7 they got a 2-0 1st period lead, clamped down on defense and rolled to a 4-0 victory. Brad McGinnis, Shane Guptill, Eric Walker, and Ryan Starkey scored for the winners  and Darcy Baskin got the shutout and was also named playoff MVP.
