Dek Hockey Fall Season Week 7 Recap

Week 7 of the Sportime dek hockey season is in the books. Here are the highlights.

 

Dek “Platinum”

-Joe Jacaruso secured a 4-3 overtime win for Lockdown on Monday, as he scored in overtime to give his squad a victory over Rundown. Ryan Haffner also scored twice for Lockdown in the contest.

 

-On Wednesday, the Bingers picked up a 4-3 shootout victory over Sundown. William Mallon scored with just 1:19 remaining in regulation to force overtime, before Ryan Maxwell’s shootout goal won it for the Bingers.

 

Dek “Gold”

-A 20-save shutout from goaltender Ron Kohler, led the Chiefs to a 4-0 win over EZ2-4U on Monday. Rich Tynan scored twice for the Chiefs in their win, while Steve Gager dished out two assists.

 

-The Top Cats made it three wins in a row, after defeating the Renegades 4-3 in overtime on Wednesday. Pete Castellanos two-goal night helped the Cats claw out a victory.

 

-On Friday, the Chiefs’ offense went wild, in a 9-4 victory over EZ2-4U. Rich Tynan finished the evening with a hat trick, while Aaron Dunn registered five assists.

 

Dek “Silver”

-Anthony Basile turned away 20 of 21 shots last Sunday, to help CTP defeat the Pros, by a 4-1 final. Rob Mentz’s two goals in the contest, help pushed CTP to their fifth win of the fall.

 

-A six-goal second period, helped the Baymen pick up a 7-4 victory over the Bombsquad last Monday. Marcello Lattuca and Craig Margulies both had hat tricks in the game for the Baymen.

 

-The Pros lit the lamp four times in the first period on Friday, on route to a 4-1 win over the Bombsquad. Tom Seyfnia registered two assists in the game, and now has seven on the season.

 

Dek “Bronze”

-The Horseheads remain perfect this fall, after a 5-4 win against the Rabid Squirrels last Sunday. Mike Eont and Paul Speranza were each responsible for two of the Horseheads goals.

 

-Sniper District rallied back from a 2-0 deficit, to defeat the Evo-Chargers 3-2 on Monday. Ed Hoschler led the District’s comeback effort with two goals, including a go-ahead score with 2:18 left in regulation.

 

-Red-hot Blue Ocean picked up a big win over Young Blood on Wednesday, defeating them by a 9-4 score. Pat Capetti and Jim Cody each registered two goals and three assists in the contest.

 

Dek “Emerald”

-A two-goal performance from Andrew Kruter led Screwed to a 5-2 victory over Your Mom’s Pool Boys last Sunday. Teammates Kevin Pongratz, Todd Belous, and Andrew Opacke also chipped in with goals for Screwed.

 

-Blackout made easy work of the Jagr Bombs on Wednesday, routing them 8-0. Paul Speranza was a top star in this one, finishing the game with a hat trick. Vin Albano also had himself a three-point night.

 

-On Friday, Your Mom’s Pool Boys rebounded strong with a 6-0 win over the Jagr Bombs. Marc Price pitched a 20-save shutout in net for the Pool Boys, while teammate Anthony Calvo lit the lamp twice.

 

-Blackout finished out the dek hockey week, with a 6-3 victory over the Survivors on Friday. A Matt Gino hat trick helped his team earn their fifth win of the season, and second of the week.
