Last year's champions Alberta jumped to the top of Pool 1A with their win over Newfoundland, having earned a bonus point for scoring 4 tries or more. British Columbia II sit right below Alberta with their win, having not earned a bonus point. Meanwhile, Ontario II sits at the top of Pool 1B with their narrow win over Quebec. In Pool 2 action, New Brunswick is undefeated with two victories today and comfortably tops the Pool standings. Saskatchewan holds second place with a record of 1-1 while PEI and Manitoba share third place with records of 0-1. Both PEI and Manitoba earned bonus points for their narrow losses. Nova Scotia has not yet played any games in Pool 2 but has two scheduled tomorrow in order to catch up. In Tier 1 British Columbia made their week's intentions clear with their resounding 61-14 victory. Ontario will be looking to redeem themselves over the next two match-ups. U18 Women Ontario 13- 7 Quebec BC 19 - 7 Alberta Nova Scotia 29 - 0 Manitoba Saskatchewan 0 - 24 Alberta Nova Scotia 20 - 20 Quebec Nova Scotia holds top position after day 1 with a bonus point victory and tie while Alberta, BC and Ontario sit just below them with their own wins. Quebec sits in fifth place with a record of 0-1-1 with Saskatchewan and Manitoba at the bottom. Alberta, Nova Scotia and Quebec are privileged after Day 1 having played two games instead of one. U16 Men Pool 1 British Columbia II 82 - 0 New Brunswick Ontario I 74 - 0 Ontario II Pool 2 Alberta 60 - 0 Newfoundland British Columbia I 43 - 5 Quebec Both pools of the Men's U16 division kicked off today with some emphatic victories. British Columbia II and Ontario I quickly asserted dominance of Pool 1 while British Columbia and Alberta dominated Pool 2. Tomorrow's action will see BC II and Ontario II square off in a battle of the 2nd sides while Ontario I will play the battered New Brunswick. Pool 2 will see BC I play against Newfoundland and Alberta versus Quebec. U16 Women Ontario 48 - 7 Alberta The tournament's smallest division had only one game today between Ontario and Alberta. The traveling Ontario team wasted little time in putting points on the board and getting the bonus point to put themselves at the top of the standings. Alberta's next game against British Columbia will be streamed LIVE tomorrow at 1:30 MST/ 12:30 PT/ 3:30 ET
