Melbourne Ice Australian Champions

Melbourne Ice is the 2010 AIHL champion team after defeating the 2009 champions Adelaide Adrenaline at the Icehouse in Melbourne, 6-4.

Melbourne opened the game early into the first period which was followed by Adelaide captain Greg Oddy evening the score.

Adrenaline Advance

Adelaide Adrenaline is the first team to enter into the Goodall Cup after defeating the North Stars, 7-6.

The 2009 Champions, Adelaide, outskated the North Stars in the first two periods and held off the minor premiers counter attack in the third.

Melbourne Ice defend their barn

Melbourne Ice will meet Adelaide Adrenaline at the Icehouse in the Goodall Cup grand-final tomorrow after Melbourne marginally beat the Penrith Bears, 2-1.

The Bears opened in the first period and held off Melbourne with excellent goal-tending by Nick Boucher.

North Stars shutout valiant Dogs

The Proski North Stars inched another step closer to winning the minor premiership for 2010 with their 4-0 win over the Sydney Ice Dogs at Warners Bay Saturday night.

Coupled with Melbourne Ice's struggles to defeat the Canberra Knights in Canberra (a shootout win), the North Stars now have passed the 50 competition points mark (51) and are eyeing off a club record of 55 points set last season, though still short of the Bears 61 points in 2008, albiet in a 28 game season.
