The International Floorball Federation considers the Canada Cup Floorball Championship to be an International Elite Club Tournament. As a result, players that normally play for other clubs may need to request a Temporary Play transfer. This is especially true if a North American club recruits a player who is normally playing in Europe. Please read the policies concerning the Temporary Play transfer and apply early. The regulations state the following about International Elite Club Tournaments:

1. Participation in a tournament played in another country requires the approval of National Floorball Association (IFF Friendly International Matches Reg. § 2.2)

2. Only players licensed to the club taking part in the tournament are eligible to represent the club. Exception to this regulation can be done with Temporary Play, where the Ordinary Club gives their contract players right to represent another club in the specified tournament. (IFF Friendly International Matches Reg. § 3.2)

Only players listed on the roster submitted to the organizers prior to the tournament are eligible to participate. Teams fielding an ineligible player will automatically forfeit the match and potentially face further sanctions from the tournament jury.

WALKOVER

The maximum waiting time is 5 minutes following the scheduled start of the match, after which a default win of 5-0 will be awarded to the team that is present. The forfeiting team will also lose a point in the standings (if applicable). Any team forfeiting two matches due to walkover will be excluded from the tournament and all played matches will be annulled.

MATCH PENALTIES

As per IFF Rules & Regulations, match penalty 1 leads automatically to suspension until the end of the match in question, match penalty 2 to suspension until the end of the match in question and also for the next match, match penalty 3 leads to the player's suspension for the remainder of the tournament.

JERSEYS

Teams are required to wear matching jerseys with printed numbers (t-shirts are not accepted). In the Elite Division teams are required to have a home and an away set of jerseys with printed numbers on the front and back as well as matching shorts and socks.
