Amrit Gill, Phil Freundlich and Brock MacKenzie were the most effective players for the Central Island JV's against tough American competition at the Mt. Baker Prostock Invitational June 16th. Losses of 2, 23 and 29 points were not the result of lack of effort on Central's part. They were just overwhelmed by the intensity of their opponents defense, their patience on offense and their ability to force us into mistakes in our transition game. 

Central never quit however and improved as the tournament progressed. I am convinced that they are looking forward to their next game where they can put into practise their new found knowledge...
