The 12th annual Irish American Ice Hockey Classic: Boston 2018 is being held from Thursday, March 15, 2018 (Yes, you'll be celebrating ST. Patrick's Day in South Boston)  through Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Murphy Rink on the shores of Boston Harbor in South Boston, MA and the Stereti Rink adjacent to the Boston Garden.

In addition to most of the 2017 teams returning to the 2017 Irish Hockey Classic, we are honored to have the Ottawa Police Hockey Team as well as teams traveling from Ireland to take part in the 2018 Irish Ice Hockey Classic.

At the 11th Annual Irish American Ice Hockey Classic: Boston 2017, over $5,000.00 was raised by South Boston State Representative Nick Collins and the South Boston Alumni Hockey Team, who particpated in this years Irish Classic  to benefit South Boston Youth Hockey.

Additionally at the 2017 Irish Classic, over $6,000.00 was raised for Boston Latin Athletic Program as well as additional funds for Team Stock ALS Foundation.

The Irish American Hockey Association, in partnership with the Boston Bruins Charitable Foundation, invite you to join Hockey Players from around the for four days of Hockey, Irish Music, Irish Adult Beverages, a bit of Blarney and Irish Cheer as we celebrate the great game of Ice Hockey from the Shores of Ireland to Boston and beyond.

The 12th Annual 2018 Irish Hockey Classic promises to be the most fun filled to date with Irish American Ice Hockey festivities throughout the city of Boston over the 4 day event.

For the 2018 Irish Ice Hockey Classic, we've added a 5th Division of Competition (over 50 and recreational division) to ensure all talent levels can compete in the Irish Games, Boston 2018.

In years past, over 40 youth hockey players from Ireland made the voyage across the pond to watch the Adults play in the Irish American Ice Hockey Classic and the kids of Ireland were treated to a weeks worth of youth hockey camps, clinics and scrimmages throughout the City of Boston, courtesy of the Irish American Hockey Association.

Tournament entry fee includes discounted hotel rooms in Downtown Boston, Pro Player Irish Hockey Game Jersey, Custom Irish game socks, welcoming gift, post game adult beverages, Private Pre and Post game light fare at local Irish Pubs for the four days of the tournament as well as Irish Entertainment all week-end long!

Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games and a great week-end in the city of Boston over St. Paddy's Day week-end. .........Irish.........Hockey........St. Patrick's Day Festivities in South Boston. What could be better!

The "Ahern Division" is made up of former NHL, AHL, East Coast and D1-D3 hockey players and is the highest caliber of hockey at the Irish American Ice Hockey Classic. If you want to play the best competition in this year’s tournament, then the Ahern division is where you want to be. Online registration for the 2018 tournament requires an initial deposit of $2500.00 with the full entry fee to be paid no later than January 16, 2018. You can pay the full entry fee of $275.00 per player (minimum 14 players per team) online at the time of registration or feel free to contact the Irish American Ice Hockey Association for details on mailing the balance due by January 15, 2018.


The "Noonan Division" is comprised of former collegiate and Junior Hockey players as well as advanced hockey players from across the United States and Canada and offers a high pace and highly skilled level of play. Ages range from 20-50 so if you still have some hop left in your game and want to skate at a very high level, the Noonan Division is where you want to be. Online registration for the 2018 tournament requires an initial deposit of $2500.00 with the full entry fee to be paid no later than January 15, 2018. You can pay the full entry fee of $275.00 per player (minimum 14 players per team) online at the time of registration or feel free to contact the Irish American Ice Hockey Association for details on mailing the balance due by January 15, 2018.
 

The "Cunniff Division" is comprised of many LAW ENFORCEMENT agencies from across the United States and Canada as well as many competitive men’s business league teams that play a competitive game of hockey. Good competitive hockey and one of the most popular division of play. Online registration for the 2018 tournament requires an initial deposit of $2500. You can pay the full entry fee of $275.00 per player (minimum 14 players per team) online at the time of registration or feel free to contact the Irish American Ice Hockey Association for details on mailing the balance due by January 15, 2018.


The "Sweeney Division" offers a good skate for recreational hockey teams that want to enjoy the week festivities in Boston at a slower and less competitive environment than some of the top tier divisions. Still good hockey but the Sweeney Division is more geared for the team looking to enjoy the tournament in a less competitive atmosphere. Online registration for the 2018 tournament requires an initial deposit of $2500. You can pay the full entry fee of $275.00 per player (minimum 14 players per team) online at the time of registration or feel free to contact the Irish American Ice Hockey Association for details on mailing the balance due by January 15, 2018.


The "Over 50 Division" offers the fun and festivities for 50+ hockey players that want to enjoy the week festivities in Boston at a slower and less competitive environment that some of the top tier divisions. We usually divide the division into two brackets and match current skill level of the over 50’s accordingly. Great way to catch up with old friends and teammates and have a great time in Boston over St. Patrick’s Week while doing so. Online registration for the 2018 tournament requires an initial deposit of $2500.00 with the full entry fee to be paid no later than January 15, 2018. You can pay the full entry fee of $275.00 per player (minimum 14 players per team) online at the time of registration or feel free to contact the Irish American Ice Hockey Association for details on mailing the balance due by January 15, 2018.
